Studying UX design means recognizing that tech is all about people. And as Frank Chimero stated, ‘People ignore design that ignores people.’

The success of any digital product depends on its usability and user experience. This course provides a hands-on, practical approach to creating accessible, inclusive and user-friendly digital artifacts. Students discover the significant impact of well-designed interfaces on performance and user satisfaction.

In addition, they learn how to identify user demands, build compelling interfaces, and balance various design options. They study UX best practices and usability testing through hands-on projects, seminars, and real-world case studies.

Essential for first-year Informatics students, HCI provides the foundation for creating smooth, user-centered digital experiences, which are critical in today’s tech-driven world.

Students delve into the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), learning how people actually engage with technology and how to create software that seamlessly integrates into their daily lives. They work on real-world projects, prototyping and testing applications that prioritizes usability and user experience.

By overcoming practical challenges, students learn how to turn their ideas into unique, user-friendly solutions that engage with their audience. This course focuses on developing technology that is not just functional, but also interesting and intuitive. Students depart with the ability to design digital experiences that users enjoy.
